We provide a wide range of services: Diagnostic Hearing Tests; Balance Tests and Treatment; Hearing Aids; Rehabilitation; Protection and Assistive Devices.

Hearing Tests

Hearing tests are available in this office for newborns to patients over 100 years of age.  Tests include:  Case History, Otoscopic Evaluation, Tympanometry, Distortion Product or Transient Product Otoacoustic Emissions,  Air and Bone Conduction Thresholds, Speech Reception Thresholds and Word Recognition.  High frequency pure tone tests are available for patients under going toxic medical treatment.

Balance

The hearing and balance mechanisms are connected and sometimes disorders of the hearing system can cause balance or dizziness issues.  Tests include:  VNG or ENG, VEMPs, ABR, Visual Acuity Tests, and Sensory Organization Performance Test.

Hearing Aids

For patients with a non-medically correctable hearing loss, hearing aids are beneficial.  Hearing aids are recommended for patients with sensorineural hearing losses.  For patients who could never benefit from hearing aids, because of a high frequency hearing loss, technology is now available to provide you better clarity.

Cochlear Implants

Candidacy determination using appropriate hearing aids.  Referrals for candidates to otologists.  We are trained to provide mapping services for Cochlear America Implants

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation comes in several forms:  individual counseling, family counseling and group counseling (see The Kooser Program).

Assistive Hearing Devices

Patients are assessed and counseled on devices that can be used with and without hearing aids to provide improved communication

Hearing Conservation

Patients are advised regarding safe level of sounds and how to protect their hearing to reduce the risk of loss or further loss.
